Delegate Armstead moves to amend the committee substitute
On page five, section four, after line thirty-eight, by adding a new subsection, designated subsection (e), to read as follows:
(e) Any increased compensation adopted by the West Virginia Legislature during the Second Regular Session of the Seventy-Eighth Legislature for the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Delegates, majority leaders and minority leaders of the Senate and of the House of Delegates may, at the option of the member, be declined by providing written notification to the member's respective Clerk at the beginning of the session. In the event that a member declines said increase in compensation, that member's compensation will remain at the previous level prior to the adoption of the increase in compensation made by the West Virginia Legislature during the Second Regular Session of the Seventy-Eighth Legislature and will continue at that level throughout that Legislature.
